Aircraft Features

The G200 is an IAI-1126 Galaxy business jet produced by the Israeli company IAI. Since 2001, it was renamed the Gulfstream G200 and is included in the lineup of the American manufacturer. The aircraft combined the comfort provided by a spacious cabin, reduced noise level, a roomy luggage compartment, and high efficiency.

The Gulfstream G200 private jet made its first test flight in 1997. In December 1998, the business jet was certified and production and delivery to owners began. The G200 was produced until 2011, when it was replaced by the new Gulfstream G280.

 

The Galaxy received a wider and longer fuselage with 8 to 10 business class seats, an Astra SPX wing with winglets, Pratt & Whitney Canada PW306A engines with 26.90 kN thrust and Collins Pro-Line 4 avionics.

The G200's efficient propulsion system, consisting of two Canada PW306A engines, each producing 2.74 tons of thrust at takeoff mode, gives the aircraft a long range and high flight speed with relatively low fuel consumption. These engines also meet the strictest noise restrictions, which allows for a significant expansion of the geography of flights. The propulsion system is equipped with an electronic dual channel FADEC control system, which improves fuel economy and engine reliability.  

It climbs rather quickly at a high altitude of 13.7 km, has high speed and the ability to land on a short runway.

Interior and Cabin

The G200's passenger cabin is the best in its class. Two passenger areas allow comfortable seating for a company of up to 11 people, including people of taller stature. The cabin height is 1.91 m due to a wide recess in the floor, which is certainly an advantage among the aircraft of this class. G200 offers three cabin modifications: Executive, Universal and Hallmark.
