Quest in Business Aviation

The American aircraft Quest company was organised by Tom Hamilton and David Voitman in 2001 in the city of Sandpoint, Idaho, United States of America. While serving in the Idaho Air group, Hamilton and Voitman drew their own attention to the fact that the civil and military aviation of the United States had no aircraft capable of flying in the most difficult conditions, as well as performing various humanitarian or sanitary tasks. They started working on the creation of a humanitarian, multi-purpose aircraft almost immediately after the registration of their own company and the recruitment of experienced engineers.

The new aircraft was designed and developed in the shortest possible time, so the multi-purpose aircraft made its first test flight already in 2004, and passed the certification process in 2007. Having received a large number of contracts from air carriers, emergency services and the military, the company began mass production of its aircraft, called Quest Kodiak. Despite the fact that this aircraft was very popular in many areas of aviation, there was a change in the management of the company in 2017, as it was sold by the creators to the French industrial Daher conglomerate, which continued to produce a popular model after 2019.

We should note that to reduce the price of your flight, you can use such services as Jet Sharing or Empty Legs. In short, Jet Sharing allows you to buy the desired number of seats on a private flight and divide the full cost of a jet charter between all passengers. This means that you’ll have to pay only for the number of seats you’ve booked. Therefore, Jet Sharing is also known as “seat rental on a business jet”. As for Empty Legs, it is a system of return flights. Let’s say that the passenger booked a one-way flight to a specific destination. In this case, the chosen business jet returns to its home base empty. If you don’t need an urgent flight, you can leave us a request, our consultants will contact you as soon the desired jet will be available.

Characteristics and features of Quest Kodiak aircraft

At its core, Quest Kodiak is a reliable, economical turboprop capable of landing and taking off in any, even the most inaccessible areas. During the design process, the creators managed to develop a very reliable and safe high-wing classic type aircraft, equipped with a three-line chassis. An important feature of this aircraft is the presence of comfortable leather seats, which have the technology of rapid dismantling, which allows you to quickly re-equip the board for a certain number of passengers or cargo transportation. Kodiak is able to take up to 10 passengers on board, ensuring their comfort during the flight.

After the purchase of the company by the French Daher conglomerate, Quest Kodiak aircraft have three types of cabin:

  1. Tundra. This is the simplest and most budget version of the passenger cabin which is equipped with standard quick-release passenger seats. Thanks to the presence of such a cabin, as well as the technical solutions present, this aircraft becomes a real workhorse capable of promptly delivering cargo, employees or specialists of companies to the most inaccessible regions.
  2. Timberline. It is a standard salon with comfortable seats for passengers with a quick disassembly function. At the request of the client, an aircraft with such a cabin will provide a comfortable flight or safe transportation of any cargo.
  3. Summit. The most comfortable salon for the most demanding customers who appreciate their own comfort. A high level of passenger comfort is provided due to orthopedic comfortable chairs installed in the cabin, satellite communication, high-speed Internet, as well as individual lighting.
