Aircraft Features

In 2017, The New Piper Aircraft Inc. unveiled its new M600 (PA-46-600TP) six-seat turboprop aircraft at the 2017 AERO Friedrichshafen Air Show. The aircraft, announced by the company in April 2015, received type certification from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) the following year. In the summer of the same year, the launch customer received the very first M600 from the production line. 

The M600 is based on the M500 platform, with an upgraded wing, advanced digital system control technology and an upgraded interior. The M600 features a completely new wing design created "from scratch". The aircraft has a maximum payload of 508 kg. The company expects the new turboprop to be a success in its segment.

The Piper M600 has a 600hp Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-42A engine with a four-bladed Hartzel propeller that is 2.10 meters in diameter.

The M600 will be equipped with a sealed cabin for six passengers, Garmin G3000 avionics and a business class cabin. In addition to new avionics (including GWX 70 weather radar and GFC 700 automatic flight control system) with GTC 570 touchscreens and upgraded interiors with a wider range of color materials (three interiors √ Calais, Sedona and Firenze).

The maximum cruising range of the aircraft with the increased power will be 507 km/h and the maximum range will be 2,239 km (with a cruising speed of 340 km/h the maximum range will increase to 3,071 km). The M600 will have a maximum fuel capacity of 984 liters and a certified ceiling of 9,144 meters. The standard equipment package will include the FIKI system, Bose A20 headphones and six USB charging ports.
