Aircraft Features

The Falcon 8X business jet is an extended version of the Falcon 7X, the most spacious aircraft in the Dassault Falcon family, equipped with Pratt & Whitney Canada PW307D turbofan engines. Thanks to the additional fuselage section, the cabin was increased by 1 m (up to 13 m) compared to the "younger" version.

 

The Falcon 8X not only outperforms its predecessor in size, but also in range, which has been increased by 925 km, to 11945 km. Like all Falcon models currently in production, the 8X will be able to fly to London City Airport.

Although the 8X and 7X have the same wing area, the new winglets slightly increase the wingspan and save the aircraft 272 kg of weight. The elongated fuselage allowed Dassault engineers to place 16 portholes on each side, flooding the cabin with natural light, so much so that in the 8X the designers decided to abandon for unnecessity the skylight over the flight kitchen, which they invented for the 5X.

The aircraft will be certified to fly up to FL510, with the cabin pressurized at 41,000 feet at 1,200 meters above sea level.
