Aircraft Features

Based on the CJ platform, the new M2 combines exceptional power and beauty in an efficient jet aircraft that more than one pilot dreams of. The Cessna M2 was announced in 2011 and the flight test program started in March 2012. The Cessna M2 is based on the two models Cessna CJ1 and Cessna CJ2, which are currently out of production. The Cessna M2 was certified in 2013 and received type approvals in the U.S. and Europe.

The Citation M2 is powered by two Williams International FJ44-1AP-21 electronically controlled FADEC turbofan engines. One component of the cabin design is Cessna's patented Clairity passenger cabin control system, which can be optionally installed. The aircraft has a two-person crew and is certified for single-pilot operation, seating up to seven passengers.  

The maximum cruising speed of the business jet is 404 knots true airspeed (748 km/h) and the range is 1,540 nautical miles (2,871 km). The aircraft can carry 3 passengers (with 1 crew member) from Moscow to London or Nice, Cannes or, for example, from Sochi to Vienna. The Citation M2 can operate on a runway that is just 3,210 feet (978 m) long and reaches an altitude of 41,000 feet (12,497 m) in 24 minutes.

The aircraft is equipped with state-of-the-art avionics, including the Garmin SVT synthetic vision system. 

 

Interior and cabin

The cabin layout of the Citation M2 business jet is designed for 5 passengers, but it is most comfortable for a group of 4. In the club area, there are comfortable tables between the seats.
